Obituary of Kay Lilley

 

Ada Kathleen “Kay” Lilley 

Peacefully, at the Bobier Villa, Dutton, on Thursday, November 7, 2019, Ada Kathleen “Kay” Lilley (née Haskett) passed away at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Allen (2016) with whom she was married for 70 years. Loving mother of Steven (Dianne) Lilley. Cherished grandmother of Steven (Jodie), Jeremy (Bill) and Andrew (Tara). Great-grandmother of Joey, Jack, Kathleen, Matthew and Jorjia. Survived by brothers-in-law; Mac (Ann) Lilley and Don Lilley as well as sisters-in-law; Peggy (Ken) and Ann (Peter). Predeceased by her parents; Burt Haskett and Martha (née Tisdale). Also predeceased by siblings; Nelson Haskett, Lila Sutton, Violet Bogart, Basil Haskett and Doris Wilson and their spouses.

Kay enjoyed caring for livestock in her early years on the farm in North-Dunwich. She was especially passionate about her sheep and horses. Kay enjoyed working at Canada Post and at T.D. Hockin’s Store in Dutton. Throughout her life, Kay was a member of Duff Presbyterian Church and was actively involved with the Wallacetown Women’s Institute as well as the Wallacetown Agricultural Society.

Relatives and friends will be received at Denning’s of West Lorne, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Sunday, November 10th from 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment in Cowal-McBride Cemetery.
