He was a close friend, spent 2 yrs in school with him and many after. He talked me into dating Christine, instead of not wanting to who was a fine lady, but young. I feel his loss even today, even if we were not in constant touch. Often think of our times together/ how time distances you from your past .
RIP Eugene you will not be forgotten by me.

My deepest condolences I just recently learned of Gene's passing. I work in an auto shop in Windsor and have many fond memories of Gene. I always looked forward in him coming in to do his job for Safety Clean. When he got transferred to London I told him I would drop in to see him if I ever found myself in West Lorne.

My condolences to the Bint family. Although I didn't get to see him that much, I enjoyed working with Gene over the last 7 years. He was always a "go to" for info, advice or a great story. He was a one of a kind guy and will be missed.

I wanted to share this with you:
Twenty years ago we moved to West Lorne and it was 20 years ago we met Eugene. His mother & step-father were our neighbours. We helped each other and farmed the land. Stories and more stories were told. Laughter behold! We even bought & shared a beautiful Black Angus Bull by the name of "Sebastien" servicing both Eugene's herd and ours. Butch would give us a hand and it was reciprocal. If Butch was unavailable, he would send his son, Brad. When his mom passed, he moved into her home, maintained the yard, brought his young sons over to play, his family would visit him. It was wonderful to have a neighbour again. Once a month, he would drop over-preferably in the garage-just to chat with my husband. How could I not hear that roaring laughter!
To the Family: This quote comes from a book "I Never Know What To Say" : They say that time heals all wounds. That is not true. Time alone will heal nothing if a person does not go through active mourning when someone you love dies. But mourning itself takes time, and once that time has elapsed, a comforting distance from death will have been traveled, and the raw edges of suffering will begin to be rounded off.

Please accept our deepest condolence at this time. Gene serviced our Jiffy Lube here in Sarnia for many years, he was always kind and professional and had many stories to tell. He reminded me of my two uncles (Farmers) he had their unassuming nature and common sense that comes natural on the Farm. Sincerely , Ron Gordon and staff.

It was shocking to hear of Gene's passing. Knowing Butch as a little kid through my parents, then working together with him at Safety Kleen as an adult, it was always nice to run in to him. He was always going above and beyond to accommodate us in Windsor, although some days we were never quite out of his way quick enough. My condolences to the family.
Rest in Peace Gene, you will be missed!

I am so sorry to learn of Gene's sudden passing and offer my sympathy to all of his family in the loss of such a great father and grandfather. He should have had many more years of life's pleasure. Life is not fair.
My husband worked with Gene at Oil Canada when it was in Dutton and later with him at Safety Kleen. He always had a good story to tell and a hearty laugh to go with it. He truly loved to tell us about his children and their accomplishments. He will be missed by many!
Sincere condolences

Mean Gene, as he was affectionately known by all his friends at Veolia, Gene was the type of fellow that filled a room with his positive energy, always laughing, and always had a story he didn't mine sharing, even if you just met him for only 5 minutes he made you feel like you knew him forever. We will miss you buddy, sending our deepest most heart felt condolences to your family, sending prayers that the Living God sends his spirit of comfort, and pease in your time of need.

My sincere condolences to all of Gene's family and loved ones. I had the pleasure of working with Gene for the past 12 years. Underneath that rough exterior ~ he had a heart of gold. Gene would be the first one to help out anyone. The love that Gene had for his entire family was beyond words. Gene was definately a huge part of our work family. His laugh will be missed. His stories will be missed. I will miss hearing Gene in the yard or office - before seeing Gene. Rest in power, my brother.
