Betty was a wonderful lady and I always enjoyed the many visits with her over the years. I was a weekly reader of her column in the Rodney Mercury/ Chronicle during my lunch hour in my office. My condolences to the Patterson family.

I enjoyed our visits with Skip and Betty but truth be told Zoe the dog was always the star of the show. Blessed are they that die in the LORD for their works do follow them

We were blessed to meet both your Mom and Dad at Beattie Manor, on January 9, 2019, after hearing how your Mom had initiated the weekly Parkwood Hymn Sing that we were blessed by nearly 50 years later. Your Mom joyfully obliged us when we asked if she would play some hymns on the piano. We hold in our hearts a cherished memory of your Mom radiating her love for the Saviour, as she played the piano so beautifully and your Dad lovingly commending us to God in prayer. We felt like we had known your parents for a life-time, after our memorable visit, Proverbs 10:7 says, "The memory of the just is blessed." May the Lord comfort your hearts with treasured memories of your dear Mom who has been welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour and joined her dear husband. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7. With our love and sympathy, Dave & Yvonne

Loetta and I send along our prayers and best wishes to the family. Betty was on our daily prayer list for years. This morning during our prayer time we prayed for Betty and an hour later I read of her homegoing. The Psalmist wrote, "With long life will I satisfy her and show her my salvation." During our seven years in Rodney we were together on many occasions. Their children and ours were close in age.
Betty made a great contribution to God`s ministry and outreach in the village and surrounding area. She was a gifted writer and musician. She was the ideal minister`s wife. Skip and Betty were a great team. Their many years of ministry at Parkwood were enjoyed by patients as they shared music and the Word of God. She loved children and had a wonderful ministry with them. Her contributions are too lengthy to enumerate but God will reward her for faithful service.
She has left a rich spiritual legacy for family and friends. The mantle now has fallen on her family and they are serving their Lord and Saviour faithfully and well. We have many happy memories of times together.

I am saddened to hear of your mother’s passing but I know that this is not goodbye but see you later. Your mom was a sweet woman and I loved seeing her when I would attend the gospel sings. You could feel and her passion for her relationship with her savior when she played the piano. May your memories fill your heart during the coming days

Betty was just like family to me. Have so many special memories playing on my accordion beside her at Sunday services. Staying with them during the ice storm, she made the best eggs. Playing baseball at picnics. Sending my love and prayers to family. Love Lorie
