It is with deep sadness the family of Isobel Grace Willie (nee Campbell) announces her passing on September 18, 2021, at Valleyview Home, St. Thomas at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Leo Willie (2010). Isobel was a proud and loving mom to her four children, Judy of St. Thomas, Karen (David) of Melbourne, Australia, Steve (Carolyn) of West Lorne and Patti (Joel) of Dutton. Grandchildren Ashley (Blair), Lexi (Dan), Dan (Olivia), Adam (Ryan) and Stephanie (Evan) and great-grandchild Ren.
Isobel is survived by siblings Ruth (late Jack), Gord (Sheilia), Ken (Joan), sister-in-law Betty and brothers-in-law Murray, Alphonse (late Barb) and Jerry. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Lillian Campbell (nee Blain) and siblings Marion (Alex), Betty, Helen (Gord) and Bill (Betty) and siblings-in-law Richard, Joe, Theresa and Elizabeth.
Descended from early pioneers to Elgin County, Isobel was born on the family farm in Aldborough Township and lived in the Rodney area her entire life. She and Leo raised their family with many happy years centred on hockey, baseball, figure skating and other sporting activities. In her later years, Isobel enjoyed tending to her garden and visits from family and lifelong friends.
She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 24th, 2021 at St. Helen’s cemetery, Dutton. Registration is required to attend. Please register at the below link.
