Obituary of Geraldine Mae Scafe
Peacefully, with her family at her side on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Geraldine “Gerry” Scafe (Pritchard) of Rodney at the age of 78. Dear wife of the late Clarence “Clare” Scafe (2002).
Loving mother of Tracey (Nigel) Bradshaw and Brian (Julie) Scafe. Cherished grandma of Mitch and Katie. Survived by her sister Georgina Ousterhout (Don 2021).
Predeceased by her brother Murray and her sister Eleanor Foster.
Gerry loved and was loved by her little furry babies.
Along with Clare and her family, Gerry operated Fairles Food Market in Rodney for many years. Gerry was also an avid member and contributor to the Rodney Horticultural Society and will be remembered for her efforts to ensure the gates to the fairgrounds were always a showpiece in Rodney.
A private family service will take place for Gerry with burial to follow at Rodney Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Wardsville or the “Gerry memorial bench fund” would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
