My dear younger brother, Steven John Hale aka Nuppie. You are my much loved brother, friend and one heck of a great person. Your pain is ended, the long journey completed and the final rest is now yours. I will miss our weekly coffee/lunch get togethers as they always gave me a smile in my heart. I especially enjoyed your hard work ethic, gentle sense of humour and your pride in your daughter, Jaime, her husband Scott and their children, your grandchildren. It was obvious from your smile and gleam in your eye that Jaime was the light of your life. The stories of your new Kabota, the dozers and excavator always reminded me of you as a young boy playing in the dirt piles. Your brother, David James Hale and his wife Beth miss you dearly. You have gone ahead to blaze the trail for us to follow. Until we meet again know that you will never be forgotten, you will always be loved by me. Rest easy Nuppie, I miss you my much loved brother.

My brother, Steven John Hale, whom I had the pleasure to name Steven when he was born back in 1962 when I was just 6 years old. What a life and what a fellow he was. He always was the first to laugh, the first to joke and so easy going. He was a dare devil and would seek out adventures and dares. he knew the value of friendship and family. I was the oldest of the four children and Steve was the youngest. We moved around so much as children and when Steven was just 14 the whole family moved back to Ontario. I was 20 and had joined the Moncton police force and married so we stayed put. So I missed out on the teen years and adventures. Steven came east to visit a few times and we headed back to London a few times to visit him. Despite all the injuries and illnesses that Steven endured he always had an uplifting attitude and a never say die attitude. I used to tell him that I was going to live forever or die trying. he loved that expression, I know how much he loved his grand children and his daughter Jaime was always in his reports to me as to how life was going on. Steven loved his farm and his dogs. Steven was looking forward to coming down east this summer for a visit and I think that reinforces the sentiment that sometimes we should just do the things we want to do now rather than later. I will miss you my brother much love from David and Beth, our son Nicholas his wife Jessica and our wee Susan Hale your family down east.
