My condolences Jill and family! I enjoyed meeting Jim in Chatham and our many long talks about getting back to piping, His businesses, and family. Such a wonderful man who knows everybody and anybody. May your memories of Jim help you through this time ❤️

My sincere condolences Jill, Larry, Brian, Deb and families. I was so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I have many nice memories of your Mom and Dad as they travelled and enjoyed many Optimist Conventions and other events with my parents. Your Dad had a great sense of humour and I always enjoyed chatting with him during the time I spent working in the Variety Store. He always had a smile and a joke to tell. He will be missed.

So very sorry Jill, Larry, Brian, Deb and families. Jim is the reason I started my own hairstyling business in his building 29 years ago. He and Rose hold a special place in my heart, I thought of them as my second parents. Jim always had some good jokes and good stories. I always loved teasing him about wearing leotards when he was pipping during those cold parades. Jim, may you Rest In Peace and say Hi to Rose for me!!

Dear Brian & Debbie, Jill & Larry and families; On behalf of the Leslie Clan, we extend our deepest sympathies with the loss of our beloved cousin. JD was our piper, our jokester, our past President, and will be dearly missed. As Julie mentioned it was always a treasured tradition to have the park filled with the music flowing from JD’s pipes, which he so proudly played for us all. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
The Leslie Clan

Our sincerest condolences to you Brian and Deb and all your family. Jim will be missed by so many. He truly was a friend to everyone who met him. He made everyone laugh and feel good. Our fondest memories are his bag pipes at our wedding. We were so blessed to have him do that for us and his pipes at the Legion functions as he led the parades. Chatting with him at the bar and his crazy antics at the Optimist meetings. May he rest in peace forever.

I will never hear bagpipes without thinking of Uncle J.D. Every family picnic we could always count on hearing Pinafore Park filled with the sound of bagpipes played with such love and passion, the same love and passion that he had for all of his family.
One of my favorite memories of Uncle J.D. is knowing that he always had a good joke every time we saw him.
Our deepest condolences to all of the family. Rest in peace. Uncle J.D.
With our love . Allen and Julie
