Obituary of Bob Hill

HILL

At St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on October 8, 2022, Robert Gordon Hill of West Lorne at the age of 81.  Predeceased by his parents Lorne (Viola) and Florence (Garlick) Hill, his brother Howard Carson Hill (Voureen), his sister Viola Mann (William Joseph) and his niece Margaret Hill.

Bob was the beloved uncle of Dennis Hill (Laurie), Bruce Hill (Janice) and Joseph Mann and a very great uncle to Alex (Holly), Ryan (Kate), Erin (Chris), Andrea (Mark) and Dustin.  Bob was proud to be a great, great uncle as well. 

Bob was well known in West Elgin.  He spent many years documenting the history of the community behind the lens of his camera.  He worked his entire career, 30 years at Ford Canada in Talbotville.  

He loved to journey down to Point Pelee as well as Port Glasgow to take pictures of birds and monarchs migrating south.  

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at Denning's of West Lorne.  Visitation will take place from 11 am to 2 pm where a funeral service will follow.  Bob will be laid to rest with his parents at Rodney cemetery...he will truly be missed.
