Peacefully, at his home on Friday, June 23^rd, 2023, Floyd Brian Humphries Sr. of Shedden at the age of 95.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Ida (Freeman) in 2011.

Floyd is survived by his dear children; Katherine Marie Burke (Tom) of Chatham, Floyd Brian Jr. (Heather) of Peterborough, Joan Elizabeth Williams of Shedden and Pamela Collette of Talbotville.

Floyd is survived and will always be remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

There are so many that will miss Floyd, but likely no one more than his furry friend, Charlie. 

Floyd’s life has been an impactful life.  From his early years riding box cars to the west to his many years as Elgin County Roads Superintendent, this great man made memories and put a whole lot of miles behind him.

Friends are welcome to join the family in honouring Floyd’s life on Tuesday, July 11^th, 2023 at 11 am at Denning’s of West Lorne, 202 Main Street.  A reception will follow.  Feel free to come dressed as casual as will make you feel comfortable.

Afterwards, Floyd will be laid to rest next to Ida at Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chin, Dr. Fernandes and the entire staff at the London Regional Cancer Centre for the care and compassion that was shared with their dad.  They would also like to thank the HCCSS SW and LHIN staff, VON and Closing the Gap for all they did for Floyd, as well as Floyd's family doctor Jonathan Carter.
