Gerry was a proud husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family meant the world to him. Gerry was fortunate to have met Priscilla at a very young age as they were neighbours in Quebec. At the age of 16 he enlisted in the military and was sent to serve in the Korean War. When Gerry returned to Canada he visited his childhood home where he was reunited with Priscilla and were together for over 61 years. Gerry was involved in the community. Many will remember him coaching baseball in Rodney and broomball in West Lorne where he led teams to many victories and memorable moments. Gerry took pride in his work including woodworking, where he spent countless hours in his garage handcrafting bird houses and beautiful miniature log cabins. He also enjoyed his time on his patio watching the birds, especially the orioles and other wildlife. Gerry’s days were filled with stories and playing tricks on loved ones. He had a sense of humour and a love for everyone that made him such a wonderful person.
